What advice do you have for medical students or young doctors aspiring to combine clinical practice with advocacy?
I’ve written my thoughts here. It captures my reflections and experiences, which I hope will be helpful.
How do you manage such a diverse portfolio of roles—clinician, academic, entrepreneur, and advocate?
Admittedly, I do not view my roles as separate, rather, as interconnected facets working in harmony to advance women’s health. Each demands my full dedication, and I maintain a disciplined schedule to ensure every responsibility receives focused attention. By eliminating distractions and unproductive habits, I channel 110% of my efforts into what truly matters—a principle that shapes my annual Key Performance Indicators.
To maximise impact, I meticulously plan my year using a Gantt chart, translating long-term goals into actionable daily tasks. But that said—I believe it it equally important to laugh. Life should not be taken too seriously, while still being taken seriously. That balance of levity and depth, I have found, is the key to success in almost everything we do.
