My creative work, including poetry, painting, and film, sits alongside my research and advocacy. Health is shaped not only by biology and policy, but also by narrative, identity, and the stories we inherit. This page gathers the artistic projects that reflect those intersections.

Kotodama Lab

I support Kotodama Lab as its ceremonial Chair (2019– ), where Malaysian stories – past, present, and imagined – are explored through film and collaborative art. For me, this work is about protecting the emotional truth of where we come from, and how we carry heritage forward. These artistic projects allow me to explore the emotional textures of identity and belonging, an imaginative counterpart to my clinical and research work.
